When I was in kindergarten, I drew a picture of myself with the words “When I grow up, I want to be an artist.” That dream has taken shape in countless ways over the years — and it’s still going strong.

Hi, I'm Jasmine!

I’m Jasmine Flood Hill — a designer and entrepreneur based in Durham, NC. I earned my degree in Textile Design with a minor in Art + Design from North Carolina State University in 2012, but my love for creativity began long before then. From my earliest memories, art and design have been woven into my life, inspired by the talents and passions of my mom and grandmothers.

My path has been wonderfully multifaceted: I’ve worked with businesses and non-profits, created commissioned public art installations, and designed prints for global brands like Disney, Sanrio, and Nickelodeon — bringing beloved characters like Hello Kitty and Dora the Explorer to life. My work has been featured onGood Morning America, in Birchbox Man boxes, on Zulily, and in retail stores across the U.S. and Europe. Along the way, I’ve spoken to groups, mentored students and designers, and partnered with nonprofits, universities, and businesses to teach workshops in web design, calligraphy, and creativity. I’ve had the joy of leading a creative team in the healthcare space as an Associate Creative Director in medical communications. I'm currently in the process of a new venture, Jazzy Sassy Party Co. (more info below).

Across all of these ventures, I’ve stayed true to my foundation: making art, sharing beauty, and connecting with people. Whether it’s designing products, teaching calligraphy, or mentoring fellow creatives, my journey has shown me that creativity isn’t a single destination — it’s a lifelong adventure.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my site and learn more about my journey thus far. There's more info on the origins of RIADA ADAIR below.

Riada Adair Backstory

Founded in 2012, Riada Adair's creative journey continues to evolve.

Foundation

The name Riada Adair has its own special meaning: Riada is Adair (my middle name) spelled backwards, and in Spanish, it translates to flood — which also happens to be my maiden name. A little linguistic twist and serendipity combined — the perfect reflection of how design flows through my life.

Early Years

I started Riada Adair by hand beading women’s jewelry — expanding to tie bars, cufflinks, and stationery within 2 years. Over the years, I found success at markets, through subscription boxes like BirchBox Man, and with features on Good Morning America and Zulily. I partnered with retailers, taken on custom projects, and added new dimensions through calligraphy and teaching.

Present

As I relaunch Riada Adair (late fall 2025), I’ve chosen to refocus on a curated collection — stationery, tie bars, cufflinks, earrings, and limited seasonal items — a tighter range that reflects the heart of the brand while I continue to refine our offerings. At the same time, I’m building a spin-off venture, Jazzy Sassy Party Co., created to bring fresh, fun designs and décor to parties and special occasions.
